ARCA Builders has been selected to join the Builders Alliance, a task force to accelerate rebuilding efforts after devastating wildfires in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu area.

Rebuilding the Palisades

The Builders Alliance represents a coordinated response to urgent rebuilding needs in communities facing reconstruction costs estimated at $1,000 per square foot or higher.

This approach aims to deliver cost-effective, high-quality rebuilding solutions through economies of scale, enhanced purchasing power, and supply chain management.

ARCA's Distinctive Role in the Alliance

ARCA Builders was chosen for its expertise in luxury custom home construction, complementing the volume production builders within the Alliance such as Brookfield Residential, Landsea Homes, Lennar, and Toll Brothers.

As the only custom design-builder on the Alliance's advisory committee, ARCA is uniquely positioned to serve homeowners who seek personalized rebuilding options beyond the standard pre-approved designs.

"Our goal is not just to rebuild, but to build better, and bring back joy," said Jeremy Lepine, CEO of ARCA Builders. "Pacific Palisades is a unique community, and we're committed to preserving its character while integrating modern, fire-resistant construction methods."

ARCA is committed to preserving the legacy of the Pacific Palisades by upholding the highest standards of architectural design and craftsmanship that have long defined this community.

Balancing Efficiency with Excellence

While the Alliance will offer four to five pre-approved housing designs, ARCA specializes in fully custom homes that maintain the architectural integrity and luxury standards the Palisades is known for.

Even for luxury builds, the Alliance will help reduce costs by approximately 5-10% through shared resources and streamlined processes.

This dual approach ensures that all homeowners, regardless of their preferences, have access to high-quality rebuilding options.

The Builders Alliance addresses key challenges facing homeowners, including:

  • Reducing construction costs through bulk purchasing and standardized designs.

  • Streamlining the permitting process to shorten rebuilding timelines.

  • Offering options ranging from expedited pre-approved designs to fully customized luxury residences.

  • Working with financial institutions to bridge gaps between insurance payouts and reconstruction costs.

Next Steps: The Road to Reconstruction

ARCA Builders will work with other Builders Alliance members on an ambitious recovery timeline:

  • March 31, 2025 – Establish a formal rebuilding authority and launch of an online resource portal

  • April 15, 2025 – Appoint a general manager to oversee logistics

  • May 1, 2025 – Open local rebuilding resource centers, including a dedicated Palisades center providing residents with access to financing options, legal guidance, and real-time construction updates

Creating a Model for Disaster Recovery

The rebuilding strategy in Pacific Palisades could serve as a blueprint for disaster recovery efforts across California and beyond.

By combining the expertise of high-end custom builders like ARCA Builders with the scalability of national firms, the Builders Alliance represents a public-private partnership model that could redefine post-disaster reconstruction.

As Soboroff and the advisory committee continue to refine the strategy, Pacific Palisades homeowners have a unique opportunity to rebuild stronger, safer, and smarter - preserving the essence of their community while adapting to the challenges of modern homebuilding and insurance landscapes.
